FAQ

My recorder is boxwood. Is it more fragile than blackwood?

Boxwood moves more with humidity and famously warps, while dense blackwood is more crack-prone under sharp gradients. Both want the same cure: gradual play-in, oiling, and a stable 45–55% case.

Do Delrin or polymer flutes need any of this?
