Air Conditioning Is Quietly Drying Your Instrument: The Summer Survival Guide

Quick answer: Air conditioning cools by condensing moisture out of the air — that is what the drip line is for. A room that runs AC hard all summer can sit far drier than the weather outside, and the cold blast near a vent is harsher still.
