Quick answer: Fiber Desiccant Cards are die-cut to your shape, surface-printed and supplied ready for automated placement: on a typical card feeder they are loaded as a stack, fed one at a time and placed into the bottle, jar or pouch by machine. Before a trial, agree the card shape and diameter, thickness (0.7 or 1.0 mm), stack and magazine size, and the placement point. Load only as many cards as the line will use within the open-air limit for your room: up to 2 hours at 50% RH or below, up to 1 hour above that, and stop at 80% RH or above.
Desiccant is often the last manual step on an otherwise automated line. A flat card handles more like a label or a liner, and Fiber Desiccant Card is supplied ready for automated placement. From custom die-cutting and printing to automated placement, Fiber Desiccant Card is built to fit into the production workflow you already run.

How a card line works
- Stack. Cards are loaded as a stack into the feeder magazine.
- Feed. The feeder separates one card at a time and moves it along the track.
- Place. The placement head puts the card into the container or onto the pack.
- Seal. The pack is closed straight after, so the card works on the pack air and not the room air.

What to agree before the trial
| Item | Why it matters | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Card shape and size | Must suit the feeder and the pack | Container drawing or neck diameter, and feeder model |
| Thickness | Stack height and stiffness | Space available; we offer 0.7 mm for compact packs and 1.0 mm for larger formats |
| Print and orientation | Print should face the right way in the pack | Artwork and which side faces the customer |
| Magazine size | Sets how long cards sit open | Line speed and packing room humidity |
| Placement point | Headspace, under the lid or against a wall | Where the card should end up |
| Changeover | Replacing sachets or a manual step | Current desiccant and how it is placed today |

Keeping cards working in the magazine
Cards start absorbing room moisture once their bag is opened, and a loaded magazine is open air. Use the same limits as any opened bag:
| Packing room humidity | Load no more than the line uses in |
|---|---|
| 50% RH or below | 2 hours |
| Above 50% RH | 1 hour |
| 80% RH or above | Stop and dry the room first |
If the line stops for more than 30 minutes, take the cards out and reseal them. A quick bend test tells you whether a card is still fresh: it should feel relatively stiff. Full handling steps are in how to use fiber desiccant.
What to check during the trial
| Check | What good looks like |
|---|---|
| Single feed | One card per pack, every cycle |
| Position | Card ends up where you specified, flat and clear of the seal |
| Print orientation | Printed side faces the way you agreed |
| Magazine time | Cards used within the open-air limit for your room |
| Card condition | Cards still feel relatively stiff when placed |
Note anything that needs a change to the card, such as a different diameter, a notch or a different thickness, and we will cut the next trial set to match.
A simple trial plan
- Send us your feeder model, container drawing and line speed.
- We die-cut and print trial cards to your format.
- Run them on your line and check feeding, placement and print orientation.
- Seal packs from the trial and store them in your own conditions to confirm the moisture result.

Can you match our container?
Yes. Cards are die-cut to the shape your container and feeder need.
Do you supply trial cards?
Yes. Use the form below with your feeder model and container details.
