Quick answer: A tobacco brand that wants its own humidity pack in every pouch has four decisions to make: the RH the blend should hold, a pack size small enough to sit flat in the pouch, the artwork printed on the pack, and how many units to plan for the first run. Humidi-Cure® two-way packs come in standard 62% and 73% RH, with custom RH points quoted for cigar and tobacco programs across 65 to 72%. Standard sizes run from 1.5 g to 63 g, and your logo can be printed on the pack. Samples in your own pouch come first, then the spec, then production.
Loose tobacco is sold by feel as much as by flavor. A pouch that opens dry and crumbly or damp and clumped tells the customer something went wrong, even if the blend was perfect when it left the packing line. Many brands already rely on the pouch film to hold moisture. A two-way humidity pack inside the pouch does the part the film cannot: it gives moisture back when the pouch dries out and takes it in when the pouch turns humid, every time the customer opens and closes it. This guide walks through what to decide before you request a quote for a custom-branded pack.
1. Choose the RH the blend should hold
Start from the moisture your blend is conditioned to at packing. The pack's job is to keep it there, not to change it. If your production team already targets a humidity at packing, choose the pack RH closest to it.
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Standard 62% RH | Our standard pack for dried herbs and botanicals |
| Standard 73% RH | Our standard pack for cigars and humidors |
| Custom 65 to 72% RH | Quoted per project for cigar and tobacco programs that need a set point in between |
Not sure which point suits the blend? Test two side by side. Seal the same blend in two batches of your production pouch, one with each RH, and compare feel and aroma after a few weeks. It is the quickest way to settle the question with your own product.
2. Size the pack to the pouch
The pack has to fit flat against the pouch wall without bulging the closure or getting in the customer's fingers. For small retail pouches, start testing with the smallest standard sizes:
| Pouch | Sizes to sample first |
|---|---|
| Small single-blend retail pouch | 1.5 g and 3 g |
| Larger retail pouch or tin | 4 g and 8 g |
| Bulk bags and storage bins | 63 g |
These are starting points for samples only. The right size depends on the pouch film, how long the product sits on shelf and how often the customer opens it, and is confirmed in your own pouch.
3. Prepare the artwork
A printed pack turns a functional insert into part of the brand. Before the quote, have these ready:
- Logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG)
- Brand colors, as Pantone or CMYK references
- Any text you want on the pack, kept short: brand name, RH level, a one-line instruction
- Language for the markets you sell in
We confirm the print area, colors and layout with you before production, so the first packs off the line match the pouch they go into.
4. Plan the first run
For a custom-branded pack the sequence is the same every time:
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Samples | Standard packs at the RH points you want to compare, tested in your own pouches |
| Spec | RH, pack size and artwork agreed, usually within 1 to 2 weeks |
| Production | Made in our own factory, typically 2 to 6 weeks, each batch with its COA and batch record |
| Reorders | Same spec and artwork, planned against your pouch production |
Pricing and minimum order are quoted per project, based on pack size, printing and volume. Quoting more than one quantity at once, for example a launch run and a full-year volume, gives you the price breaks in a single reply.

Frequently asked questions
Can humidity packs be printed with our logo?
Yes. Logo printing on the pack is available for wholesale and private label orders. We confirm print area, colors and layout before production.
What RH should a tobacco pouch hold?
The RH your blend is conditioned to at packing. Humidi-Cure® comes in standard 62% and 73% RH, and custom points between 65 and 72% are quoted for cigar and tobacco programs. If you are unsure, test two RH points side by side in your own pouch.
What size pack fits a small tobacco pouch?
Start testing with the 1.5 g and 3 g sizes for small retail pouches. The final size depends on the pouch film, shelf time and how often the pouch is opened.
How long does a custom-branded order take?
Spec is usually agreed within 1 to 2 weeks, and production typically takes 2 to 6 weeks after that. Pricing and minimum order are quoted per project.
